Referring to Announcement of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) No. Peng-00012/BEI.POP/01-2021 dated 21 January 2021, PT Selamat Sempurna Tbk (SMSM) is pleased to announce the Company is part of the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, i.e. IDX Sector Consumer Cyclicals (IDXCYCLIC) with the Sub-Industry “Auto Parts & Equipment” in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period of July 2022 to June 2023.

Short brief about IDX-IC Sectoral Index

Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has had an industrial classification used since 1996, i.e. the “Jakarta Stock Industrial Classification” (JASICA). With the development of the economic sector and the current type of new Listed Company and to align the classification principles to conform to common practice, IDX considers it necessary to make adjustments to JASICA.

Therefore, IDX has conducted a preliminary study of industry classifications used by the financial industry in the world, solicited input from market participants such as capital market analysts and investment managers, and established communication with regulators and government institutions. From the results of these studies and discussions, on January 25, 2021, the IDX launched the industrial classification “Indonesia Stock Exchange Industrial Classification (IDX-IC)” to become a classification of listed companies on the IDX with 11 new sectoral indices.

IDX-IC Index is an index that measures the price performance of all stocks in each sector which refers to the IDX Industrial Classification (IDX-IC) classification. The index includes 1,000 shares by the method of determining the industrial classification of listed enterprises, based on the final goods or services produced and providing a majority income.

Providing classification codes using codes in the form of sequential letters (A-Z) for Sectors and codes in the form of sequential integer numbers (1-9) for Sub-sectors, Industries, and Sub-industries. Evaluation of the company's industry classification will be carried out regularly every 1 (one) time every year, namely every April-May and the evaluation results will be announced at the end of June. The results of this routine evaluation will be effective every first exchange day of July.
