Jakarta, October 27, 2020 - PT Selamat Sempurna Tbk (SMSM/the “Company”) today announced the Company’s performance for the nine months of 2020.

The Company’s consolidated net sales for the first nine months of 2020 was Rp 2.30 trillion, a decrease of 17% from the comparable period last year. The Company’s net income* was Rp 353 billion, 13% lower than the first nine months of financial year 2019.

*) Net income is profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent entity, i.e. SMSM’s shareholders.

SMSM’s performance in the nine months of 2020 was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic on first half of 2020, despite the third quarter revenues showed a slightly recovery compared to the previous period. At the same time, incisive measures were put in place to mitigate the impact of the crisis and the contraction in sales and these made it possible to achieve a better result in the third quarter.
